I am trying to set up autoreply when I am on leave etc. When I to
Tools then look for Out of Office Assistant it is not there. However,
'help' tells me I also need Microsoft Exchange. Please advise, is
this a new download I need? I'd have thought this would be part of the
standard package.

Also, while I am here, does anyone know why the menu does not always
show the bottom options even though there is room it shows the
downward arrows? This is only a small irritation though.

Many thanks
Colin

2 issues here:

1) Out of Office:
If you are in an Exchange environment (ask your administrator if you do
notknow) you can set the Out of the Office Assistant which is located under
Tools.

If you are not in an Exchange environment you can create a rule that replies
on all e-mails. The downside of this is that you'll have to have your
Outlook open all the time for the rules to process. Make sure you set some
exceptions (for instance based on the subject field so it will not reply on
subject with e.g. reply, failed, undeliverable, etc...) otherwhise you could
create endless mailloops between two mailservers and those can be a real
threat to the mailservers!

2) Tool Bar
You can change this behaviour of the Tool Bar by going to
View-> Toolbars-> Customize-> tab Options-> option Always Show Full Menus

Re. Out of Office

I'll do as you suggest and check with my administrator. If need be
I'll set up a rule.

Re. Toolbar

I got to customise but no tab called options that allows me to show
full menus.

Thanks very much for your help.
