Place a program disk in the CDrom and if there is an Autorun.inf file the
program starts.
Place an Audio cd in the same CDrom and an explorer window opens showing all
the *.cda tracks. Click on 1 and mediaplayer plays it.
I used to have a selection window that allowed me to select which program
would play the files on an audio cd ( Mediaplayer, realplayer, explorer or
none ).
My Computer/CDrom/Properties/Autoplay shows that Prompt me each time to
choose an action is ON.

It did work this way, I do not know when it changed. Can anyone help?????

Hi,

Put you Audio CD into the drive. Go into My Computer. Right click the drive
and choose Properties. On the Autoplay tab select the "Always ask..." radio
button.

Hi Paul,
The Autoplay handlers are located in the regstry in the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Autopl
ayHandlers\Handlers

Delete the ones that you do not require, but take EXTREME caution before
modifying the registry. Incorrectly modifying the registry can leave your
computer inoperable.
