Autoplay quit working

My autoplay (for software installation) has quit
working. I seem to remember a setting for this back in
win98 but can't find anywhere in winXP to change this.
All I can find is autoplay for music and pictures ect...I
want my programs to autorun when I insert a CD. Anyone
have any ideas or similar problems?
