Automoted Application Installs

I think I am missing something. I feel a little confused.

I would like to be able to create a 'package' to distribute/install an
application to my w2k workstations from my w2k server. I saw sysdiff
which sounds like what I want but I read that this is for NT and
doesn't work w/ 2000? Somewhere else I read that Sysprep is the w2k
replacement for sysdiff. Sysprep sounds like something to do a
complete system image or to deploy the entire system - not just an
application. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I tried the steps in this message:

When I run the Sysdiff /diff step I get an error message that says:

Diff failed. The process cannot access the file because it is used by
another process (error 32).

Any suggestions?

OK I found a inf file here:

I had to add a few things in the registry to Exclude it's running now using sysdiff /snap wehave

Did you get that far?
