Hi, hope somebody can help
I've recently been asked to look into recovery scenarios for XP when we eventually upgrade from NT. At present, we schedule rdisk.exe to run on a weekly basis so that when we get the dreaded BSOD, we can sometimes recover the machine. Now, with the introduction of System Restore in XP, I'm assuming this sort procedure would not be necessary. I understand that the system generates a restore point when a significant change occurs (software installation etc) or if the machine has been left on for more than 24 hours. The majority of our PC's would be turned off at the end of the day, so my question is, how do I make the PC generate a restore point at a regular interval (to be decided when and if it is possible) without the GUI being displayed
I suppose I would like to know if the same can be done with the Backup utility too for Documents and Settings maybe
Thanks in advanc
