I too have the no automatic scan problem and wonder if one of my other
programs might be blocking it somehow. I'm running AOL Security Center as
well as SpyBot Search and Destroy, and Spy Blaster. The earlier Antispyware
Beta worked fine on auto scan. I'm running Windows Media Center Edition 2002
SP2. Do either you Rich, or Engel have some of these programs as well?
4. Double-click My Computer, and then click Folder Options on the Tools
menu.
5. On the View tab, click to select Show hidden files and folders, and then
click OK.
6. Delete all of the files in the "C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18" folder.
7. Restart your computer, and then run the task.
Tom - Thank you for the suggestion; I tried it but the auto scan still didn't
work. I presume that MS may be aware of the problem and will come up with a
fix.
