In Internet Explorer, different sites always remember what I have searched for on their website before. These remembered searches are shown in a drop-down box and they are filtered away depending on what I am entering in the search bar. This happens especially in Google. I would like to know how to make it stop doing this, or whether this is a Windows preference or a preference on the particular website. Thank you.

Squee,

In Internet Explorer - on the menu-bar
| Tools | Internet Options |
/Content\, Under "Personal Information",
[AutoComplete...] and [My Profile...]

Also on /General\, "History" [Clear History]

....and you can individually delete certain entries from that list by
clicking in the text box, then using the arrow key to highlight the entry
you want to delete and then pressing the delete key!
