it is set for the domain - on the default domain policy

it is also set in the default domain controllers group
policy

it is also set in each and every domain policy - or has
been, but no change no matter where it is placed.

obviously noone has any ideas about this - maybe it is not actually
possible - wouldn't really surprise me if it isn't.

There is no way to log a user off of their local machine after their domain
account logon hours expire using Group Policy settings. A computer can be configured
to log off current user at a set time or after a period of idle time using Scheduled
Tasks and logoff or using something like Winexit.scr to log a user off after a period
of inactivity. -- Steve

odd that is allegedly possible then - at least according to Microsoft - :)

and setting it up through scheduled tasks is not practical - nor is having
it set to log people off after a period of inactivity.

looks like it's change main server and desktop OS's then.

maybe it works under 2003? anyone know?

It is confusing if you are talking about the log off security option. That
option just enforces logging users off of domain resources. --- Steve
