I need to find out how to turn on Automatically Detect Setting in
Internet Explorer - Tools - Internet Options - Connections - LAN
Settings - Automatically Detect Settings.

I know that I just gave the step by step to the check box. I need
this to be set for all users when they login.

This has to be a local machine setting.

Hi,
The group policy for that setting (Run> gpedit.msc) would be:
User Configuration> Windows Settings> Internet Explorer Maintenance>
Connection> Connection Settings.

Gpedit should be available in XP Pro and MCE and Vista Business and
Ultimate. It's not available in the Home/Basic versions.

Hope this helps,
Don

Hey Don,

I did what you suggested and it seems to work for new users. But does
not effect the existing users. Is there a way to make this change to
all user(s) new and existing.
