automatically create a drive mapping

Hi,

I have an application that use UNC to connect to network share. the
application does not need a drive letter mapping to access the drive share.
However, when I start the application, I see a drive letter mapping created
automatically in the My Computer window. When I close the application, the
drive mapping does not go away.

Any idea why this happen and how to prevent it from mapping

Because that is how the Application works.
and how to prevent it from mapping

You can't, unless you are a programmer, have the source code, and want to
redesign the Application yourself.
