Windows Movie Maker gave me problems before, and the error report I sent in
told me it had to do with ffdshow. I uninstalled that, and then I was able to
finish a project. However now, no matter how small or big a project file is,
it won't save as a movie file. I went to some of the links that was in "Where
to find Movie Maker Support" to find an answer myself, but no luck. I'm
desperate here, because the program doesn't even give me an error message nor
does it freeze. It just closes everytime I try to convert the project into a
file to watch. Please help.

I went to that site and read very carefully everything that was said. Most
of it, if not all of it, dealt with getting an error message. Even though I
didn't get one, I still tried out what was suggested. I placed a small clip,
probably 5 seconds long on the timeline and tried to save it as a movie file,
the same problem still occured. I tried this with different clips and images
several times, and the same thing happened. That being said, I don't think
it has to do with how complex the project may be, since its occuring when a
tiny clip or picture with no effects is trying to be saved (And my project
itself is only 4 minutes long and has a small amount of effects).

I didn't receive an error message at all, so codecs nor the source files
can't be the problem either (I'm assuming). Also, if it helps to mention,
when I right click on any of the clips and go to properties, the program
closes automatically too.
