Hi :)

I sometimes use cut and paste to move large (several gig) folders from
one PC to another.

I prefer to do this overnight, but often in the morning I have a message
box that's appeared after about an hour asking me if I really want to
move a particular file, and the whole thing stopped.

Well, duh! If I didn't want to move the file, I wouldn't have clicked
'cut' and 'paste' ;)

Is there any way of forcing XP to just go ahead and do what I asked it
to, without having to get up in the middle of the night to click 'Yes to
all'?

Thanks :D

You can use XCopy from a comand prompt to doall your copying. One of the
switches that you can use is to not ask for confirmation.

To see the syntax, type Help xcopy at the command prompt.

Or, I use a freeware tool called XXCopy. You can do a Google search and
find it.
