Since upgrading to the latest beta version I've noticed
that the program no longer remembers when I set automatic
upgrades. Every time I run the program, it tells me that
automatic upgrades is not activated. If I set automatic
upgrades, every time I restart the program, the setting
is not saved. Has anyone else come across this problem??

Ahhh - ignore this message - just found the solution - a
complete uninstall and reinstall of the latest version
seems to have cured this 'behaviour'

Hello Dave,

try this:

Goto: Start/Control Panel/Add-Remove programs/MSAS
then click on suport info!!!
Then click on repair!

Hi,

I tried that ... does not work.

MSAS does not remember the scan schedule nor the
autoupdate. Every time i run the MSAS it asks me to go
through the setup assistant. I have done it numerous
times but it does not remember. Any one having similar
issues (running the latest beta 615)

Let's go a step further then:

Uninstall Microsoft Antispyware via add or remove programs.

Delete the installation folder, typically c:\program files\microsoft
antispyware, and all subfolders. You will lose access to any quarantined
items, and all customized settings.

Reinstall Microsoft Antispyware. Be certain you are logged in as the
administrator level user who will use the program, when you reinstall.

Hello Sam,

time for a fresh install i think:

uninstall, Delete MSAS folder and
delete in C:\windows\system32 the following files:
GCCollection.dll
hashlib.dll
gcUnCompress.dll

run a regceaner (Ccleaner)

http://www.ccleaner.com/ccdownload.asp

Also use the temp cleaner of Ccleaner.

Do a fresh install with version .615 (latest)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...A2-6A57-4C57-A8BD-DBF62EDA9671&displaylang=en

Working this way you know that you are really running .615 with all old
things not anymore on the system!!!

The old bugs are not away ;)
