Automatic updating time and links

When inserting Date an Time into presentation, it allows
you to select automatically update. However, this updates
only when the presentation loads. I would like it to
update everytime a slide is displayed. Is this possible?

Same issue with a link to an external EXCEL file. Marked
as automatic update, but it only updates when the
presentation is loaded. Can this link be updated each
time that slide is displayed?

Glen,

I looked at the link you supplied, but I am not sure it
applies in this case. I have merely linked to a formatted
worksheet not a Graph that is being created by data in a
worksheet. It mentioned an add-in that I will try. All I
am doing is change the data say in Cell b3, but that does
not change in the version in powerpoint. I guess it is
possible that the MSGraph is used to create any display
whether it be worksheet info or a Excel graph.
