automatic updates

paulmars

do not appear to be working since my reinstall. I hav it set to notify me
before download and before install, but it has been 3 days since I formatted
and installed xp. So, I m running without sp2 and all other updates. Any
ideas?

I just got the taskbar icon notifying me of updates. However the check boxes
were grayed out. They were checked and I could not uncheck them. I clicked
download with all them checked and the notification disappeared. So why cant
I download them?

Go to www.bigfix.com and download BigFix which is free. It will provide the
updates you need to your desktop with a description of each and you can
download and install without caring about Windows Update working or not.
