My windows automatic update keeps turning itself off. No matter how many
times I "fix it" (as it instructs me to do), it stays for a few minutes and
turns itself off again. I have contacted my computer manufacturer and the
anti-virus maker (this alerts me that it is off), but no matter what I have
done, it still turns itself off. I know that I can manually check for
updates, but this puzzles me.

If anyone can help - THANKS!!!

(On another issue - Does anyone keep getting a "Could not find the
file"flash.ocx"?)

hi susiegg2, try this, click start, run and type services.msc
then hit ok, look for automatic updates and see if for automatic.

It's possible that you have a virus or some type of malware that disables
Automatic Updates.
Run your av program. If that finds nothing, then try an online scan from
Edwido or TrendMicro.
