Automatic Updates

how come my Automatic windows update doesnt work
anymore. If i right click my computer and go to
properties and click the tab for automatic updates it
says unavailible. It used to work. even with a BLANK
password. i know that i can go and update manually but i
liked the automatic one.
 
No my problem is not covered there. Im having trouble
wiht the Automatic windows update service. the one that
puts the globle like think in the system tray
