automatic updates

Hi, my computer has stopped installing updates. it downloads them but
cant install. get error ox80070002, looked at this & followed
instructions, deleted data folder. tried to delete download folder but
it says cant delete - spmsg.dll is being used by another program, but
all other windows are close? its the validation KB905474, onr that wont
install, but my xp home is a true one, has been validated by windows,
then these 2 wont install either. KB900485 & KB913580 . have tried to
manually install 1st one, but wont. any help?please. many thanks. oh
i`m only a novice user, so dont get too technical please.

Try posting in microsoft.public.windowsupdate for more help. You might try
breaking up your post into multiple complete sentences with proper
capitalization, and multiple paragraphs, to make it easier to read -
