Automatic Updates not working?

I usually always update from the Windows Update site, but I turned Automatic
Updates on because of Service Pack 2. Eventually, I got a notification that
it was available. I'm starting to second guess myself now, but I'm almost
positive I clicked on download... but nothing ever happened. The icon
disappeared without anything downloading, and I've not gotten another
notification to download SP2. It's been a few days.

It only installed a new Automatic Updates control panel - have a look in
control panels!

No, the download listed was for Service Pack 2, I'm sure of that. I believe I
already have the latest version of the Update software. I've tried setting it
to automatic download and install, as well as just notification, but still
nothing comes up that says the update is available again. And it's definitely
not downloading now.

I'm the same.

Clicked download the other day (about Wednesday), but nothing since.
However - I have a few 'Windows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q########' in Add/Remove
Programs which weren't there before, and aren't there on my other computers
which I haven't yet downloaded it to. Anyone else notice this?

Microsoft is scheduling the downloads of SP2 to stop the site being
overwhelmed. Some time in the next week or so, you will get the
download.

Cheers,
