Automatic update keeps asking me to update

Hi, I was wondering if anyone was experiencing this problem I am being confronted with over the last week or so
I always let my windows Xp Auto-update program do its stuff and have never experienced any difficulties or abnormalities. Until now. The program prompts me to update my mediaplayer : update KB828026 and I click the install button. The program does its job and I get no error message at all nor does the program abort prematurely. Everything seems to be fine. Then the next day the windows auto-updater prompts me again for the same update. It makes no difference if I reboot my comp after the update or if I leave it running untill the next day. This has been going on for a week now and I would like to know if anyone knows how to fix this?
