Automatic update feature

Hi, the automatic update feature is turned on but doesn't
seem to notify me of any updates. Any help would be
appreciated. Thankyou.
 
It depends on how you set it up. If you set it to run att at a certin time,
it would tell you it has updates until they have already been installed/
Also, it only reports updates if your computer needs them.

G'Day Austin & Kel,
My experience with auto update, was that it was too slow, with all they
virus's around in the last 6 months .It seemed to react only to critical
updates. Also it seemed to fail to recognise that I had updated from the web
page already, but the message wouldn't go away till it had its wicked way
and downloaded it a second time into the pc, same download.
I turned off the auto., got into the routine of checking the web site daily
for updates, as it is so quick on cable, and it done.
