Automatic Shutdown

Could someone please tell me why my computer
automatically shutsdown and reboots about 5-10mins after
I have inityiated internet explorer stating - The NT
Aurthority/System is closing down my system the RPC has
terminated unexpectedly - ? Procedure Call. Thankyou

I have just recently upgraded some of my hardware and
also had to format my hard drive and re install windows
xp. I had the same problem when I first connected to the
internet. What you have is a "worm virus" you will need
to get the blaster worm patch from microsoft.com in the
download section and use the windows updates.
 
Thank you for posting this information. I got the patch
and the updates, etc, from the Microsoft site and it
seems to has solved the problem. I was having the exact
same problem as you described. Thanks again.

It shuts down due to your lack of security!!

Can you say Blaster worm?
