automatic shutdown

My computer does an automatic shutdown and then restarts
for no reason and in the middle of just about anything..
I have sent numerous reports to microsoft but can't find
out anything about them. It is annoying.
 
1. are you overclocking?
2. are you sure you don't have defective RAM?
3. Right click My Computer, Properties, Advanced, settings for startup
and recovery and then remove the checkbox Automatically restart.

4. check the Event Viewer for any messages on why the machine
rebooted...
