Automatic Script Box Always Checked

In IE7, under LAN connections, since yesterday the Automatic Configuration
Script is always checked with a proxy address:
http://localhost:9100/proxy.pac . The IE7 runs very slowly unless I uncheck
everything, but it won't stay unchecked. I have no proxies that I know of,
no scripts, I get to the Internet through a router that connects to Comcast,
and I've never had this problem before.

Any way to get rid of it?

Thanks.

Options/settings in several third-party applications may be disallowing the
change(s) from "sticking" when you reboot. These include Ad-aware's
Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer, SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper, Norton AntiVirus,
McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware, and Zone Alarm (Free and Pro).

Interesting thought. I disabled my Spyware Doctor but the settings still
stick. I use Windows OneCare Live but have been for several months, and this
just started.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Many of these "protections" make changes in the Registry, so simply
disabling an application does NOT disable the "protections".

MS has made web-forums available for OneCare support and questions. This
newsgroup is not related to these forums nor are they available via
newsgroups.

Turns out it is due to the Google Accelerator! I found it on Experts
Exchange. If I disable the GA, the LAN settings "unstick". When I re-enable
it, they reappear. I think the browser slowdown was due to something else,
but it, too, seems to have disappeared.

Always something strange.
