is there a way to automatically number items in excel. i
tried using the autofill option but when a row is deleted
or inserted the numbering does not update. For example, i
auto filled rows 1 - 10 in column A and then deleted row
7, the numbering didn't update, it went from 6 to 8. i
tried to create a link so that the cell on the row below
would increment by one for example =a2+1, the problem is
when a row is deleted a reference error will appear on all
the rows underneath. Please let me know if this is
possible thanks.
