Automatic restart

Hello, I have removed the check mark in automatically restart in the system
failure section of the startup and recovery (advanced --> system recovery)

I put a cd in my cdrom and my pc is restarting I would like to see the error
message, what causes my cdrom to be so uncooperative.

I really dont know whether this is gonna work, but its worth a shot...

start the computer...and tap the f8 key till you get to a screen which
says windows advanced options menu

look for an option called disable automatic restart when system fails
and select that (NOTE: you have to use your keyboard here).

then it would boot normally to the desktop.

now try putting your cd and see whether you can get the error message.
