I have my System/Startup/Recovery option for Automatic Reboot checked. I
want my system to reboot automatically on any system failures (i.e., Win2K
blue screens). For some reason, this setting does not seem to work. On the
last blue screen I got, the system just sat there without rebooting.

Just to clear things up. I am a Senior Software Engineer and know what is a
blue screen System Stop condition. Right now I can tell you that I have a
rogue 3rd party device driver that is causing the problem and so far it is
extremely rare and difficult to reproduce. So as a safeguard, I would like
Windows 2000 to restart on any blue screen condition as should be the case
when the "Automatically Reboot" option is selected. But for some reason
this does not happen when the condition occurs.

Albeit I need to find the reason why the blue screen is occurring. However,
the original question was why didn't Windows 2000 reboot the machine as
instructed in the System configuration setting?
