For about a month my computer takes about 10 minutes to load Windows XP Home
Edition after a series of unknown re-starts on boot up. Once Windows
eventually loads it says it has recovered from a serious error and that an
unkown device driver is the cause. I have had the system for almost a year
and it has work fine until know. The system is as follows:-

Asrock K7VM4 333 FSB
AMD XP2600
512MB DDR PC2100 RAM
80GB Hitachi 'Desk Star' HDD
Benq 32x10x40 CD Re-writer
Integrated UniChrome 3D Graphics 64 MB
Windows XP Home Edition

If anyone could give me any advice or suggestions on how to fix the problem
would grateful.

I had the same problem on a Windows ME system. Happened after I
replaced the power supply fan. Drove me nuts for two months -
reformatted and reloaded Windows

Turns out I jarred one memory card out of its slot. The card just
needed reseating. CMOS was indicating the wrong RAM capacity - but I
had forgotten how much I had. It would go through the memory check on
start up without a problem . . .

Good luck
