Automatic Query Refresh, Changing Parameter

I have a web query that requires a parameter, the parameter is the number of
days prior to the current date. The user provides a date on a different
sheet and then I calculate the parameter as =TODAY()-"Date". If I manually
change the parameter value, Excel picks that up, however if the cell changes
via the calculation it will not refresh automatically. Any suggestions?

Just to update a little, I have found if I get the formula to error, then
enter a new value, it triggers the cell change refresh, but of course I'm
interested in getting a straightforward answer on this.

Matthew are you attempting to do current date always? Is the number of days
the parameter? Or is the number of days always the same, such as do they
always want =today()-7 or is it =today()-(user defined date or number of
days), would converting the date to a number and then putting in the number
instead of a date fix your problem?

The way I am doing the parameter is the user defines a date and the website
takes the number of days back from today as an argument. So the website is
taking =today()-(user defined date). My issue is that I want to tell the web
query to update when the parameter changes, but it doesn't seem to pick up
with the calculation changes, only when you manually type something in the
parameter cell. I've pretty much given up on the notion that this will work,
I just have the users hit refresh all to have the web query refresh after
they change the date. But if you have any ideas on how to make Excel behave,
I'll take it.

Matt
