automatic pathway changes and graphic saving... GAH!

Ok, I am seriously getting tired of FrontPage changing all my image pathways
when I save it. Not only that, but the whole image-save thing is driving me
nuts.

Is there a way to turn that off and define the images and pathways manually,
without having them changed, like it normally does?

What is it that you are trying to accomplish that will not work the way FP is design to manage your
web site content.

Always open a website before opening a page.

Always use File->Import to bring your images into the open website
before you insert them onto a page.

Save the page BEFORE you add images to it - this establishes the
location of the page in the website.

When adding images, drag them from the folder/file list onto the page.
NEVER use any FrontPage features to edit or resize/resample the images.

If FrontPage offers to save an image, you have not followed the above.

The only exceptions to this are Interactive Button, and images generated
by FrontPage themes and Layout tables.

I'm working with only one web page at a time for updates, testing different
tweaks on my hard drive before uploading it to the net. The folders and
pathways are NOT the same as the net. But whenever I attempt to change the
paths to the correct places, especially for my CSS scripts, it automatically
reverts whenever I save. Also, whenever I save it, the graphics attached to
it must also be saved over as well, even if they already exist on the
website, in a different pathway.

What I want is to disable those features so I can define the pathways
manually without having it revise it on its own.

You need to be working in a open FP web, not just individual pages outside of a web.
