Automatic Opening of Web Pages

Hi, everytime I click on a bookmarked website, use a hyperlink from a web
page or use Google I ALWAYS have a new window opened. I end up with
countless pages open at the same time and I have to close them all down. Can
this be changed so it just updates/overwrites the exiting window.

Have you tried Tools-Internet Options-Advanced-Reuse windows for
launching shortcuts?
