In previous Outlook Express, I was able to start a name in the "To:" box,
then the program would finish it. However, in Outlook it has not worked. I've
tried the to "rename" the *.nk2 file. However, when I search for this file it
is not located. What do I do next??

Your NK2 file is under a hidden directory. Make sure your search includes
those. Typically it's under the C:\Documents and Settings\<user
name>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook directory

Hi, I have the same problem, when I upgraded from outlook 2k to outlook 2003, I found that the *.nk2 is missing, I already enabled option "show hiden system file" and search all local hard drive but I couldn't find it. That's why the function auto complete name in my outlook doesn't work. Could you explain to me what is the problem and help me solve it.Thanks so much!

Why do you want to rename the NK2 file? That will not make autocompletion
work. In fact, it will clear out any addresses you've accumulated so far
and make you start over.
