This may sound stupid but I just switched to Windows Live Mail and I don't see where you can check to have your email addresses fill in automatically when starting to type them.
Anyone help please?

Sharyn Mitchell

That should be automatic, and I don't think there is a way to
turn if off or on. Did you open your WLM Contacts to make sure
all your recipients are there?

Incidentally, questions pertaining strictly to WLM should be
posted to its newsgroup:

Yes all of my recipients are there. They came over automatically when I
installed Windows Live.
It doesn't seem to be working but it isn't really a big deal, I just thought
if I could use it I would.
I will make sure I use the proper newsgroup.
Thanks

I am somewhat surprised your contacts came over automatically
from Windows Mail. Most people have to do a manual import, or
else they get an automatic sync from their Hotmail contacts.

I have no idea why your contacts are not auto-completing.

The email addresses don't automatically fill in.
What happens is as you type a list appears that contains names and email
addresses containing what you have typed.
The more that you type, the shorter the list becomes.
You have to select one of the names or type the complete name or address.
Are you getting the list when you type?

WLM does not enter a full address and change the address as you type the way
OE did.

Thanks for the information. Yes I am getting that list and that works fine
for me. I just thought if it worked the same way Outlook Express did then I
would like to have it.
I guess I am lucky because all of my addresses came over when I installed
Windows Live.
