How can I have a copy of every new email message
automatically sent to another email address each time I
send a new message? Help appreciated. Bill

Will the "CC the message to <people or distribution list>" clause in a
rule work for what you want?

I have used rules before, but I do not see how a "rule"
would work. I would like all messages sent out to
various email addresses, those in the distribution and
those not, automatically sent to another email address.

Help appreciated. Bill

You want ALL your outbound e-mails to go only to one target e-mail
address despite to where they are addressed?

Or is it that you want a *copy* of all sent e-mail to get sent to
another mailbox other than in your e-mail client on on your mail server
(Exchange or whatever)?

If you want a *copy* of an outbound e-mail sent to another e-mail
address, use the rule that I mentioned. It's the only one that I saw
that might work. Or contact your ISP to see if you can send a duplicate
of every outbound e-mail to your specific "archiving" e-mail account.

You don't explain why you need to *e-mail* a duplicate of your outbound
messages to somewhere else rather than using a rule to save a duplicate
(presuming the copy in the Sent Items folder is not sufficient), as in:

Apply this rule after I send the message
move a copy to the <specified> folder
stop processing more rules

The folder the duplicate gets copied to can be in your personal folder
information store (i.e., PST file). The folder can be for a different
information store (i.e., a different PST file); you need to have open in
Outlook so it has write access to that other PST file. That other
information store can even be off on a different host's drive via a
mapped drive.

Thanks again. I am so stupid sometimes, after reveiwing
the rules again, I found the cc. option, thank you.

Why? I have a nine year old son who along with his
friends have sent out some unfavorable emails to
classmates. Nothing to bad at this point, but some
parental control was warranted on his computer. It's a
temporary move at this time, but along with "all messages
are traceable to your computer" seems to have his
attention and understanding at this point.

Thanks again. Bill

Thank you!
