Does anyone know of a way to set the computer to automatically disconnect
from the internet at a specified time every day?

dial up fsnet.

Shelly,
Please contact your Internet Service Provider and see if there
are settings in your Dial-Up software that does this.
It *may* be a simple setting that needs adjustment.

With dial-up you could schedule a cmd file which does this:

rasdial /d

It may need more operands (e.g. connection name when run in
a cmd file. In that case use rasdial /? to see its command syntax help.

Good luck
