Any emails in my inbox that reach 1 month old are being automatically deleted
or archived. Is there any way I can turn this off? I have looked everywhere
and cannot find an option to do this. I prefer to manage my own email.

Windows Mail doesn't have any feature that would be able to do that.
Perhaps a third party security program is messing with your mail.

Oh right, I have Norton 360, so maybe it's that doing it. I'll have another
look and see if I can work it out. Many thanks for your help.

Yeah, there are 360 ways to mess up WinMail with it. <VBG>

You're very welcome.
I'm sure your Norton 360 is somehow involved.

Hi, Gary:
I don't have Norton so this is strange because it just started happening to
me as well. All my deleted emails over a month old are disappearing.

Do you have View - Current View - Show All Messages checked / enabled? Are
you using a message rule that is affecting these emails?

Which antivirus are you running? Some of them cause problems with
Windows Mail over time.

Who is your mail service provider, and is the account a POP3 or
IMAP?
