I am a new Access user. I need to create criteria in
the "date" field of my table. We update our reports
weekly and it would be nice to have the date change
automatically.

What is the meaning of the Date field in the table? What "Entity" -
real-life thing, person, or event - does the table represent?

You will need to run an Update query to update the table field,
perhaps called from VBA in the Close event of the report.
