Automatic Contacts appearing in emails

I am using Outlook 2002 on WIN2000

When I start an email, and type the first couple of
letter of the recipiant, Outlook brings up a few email
address that start the same and are similar.

This is a major problem. These names are not in my
contacts, but are simply people who I have previously
emailed.

I want to do the following:

1. Either only have this feature work for people who
are in my contact or not at all. I really just want to
turn it off, or delete certian names at will.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated and

There's a setting to turn it off:

Tools, Options, Email Options, Advanced Email Options, then un check the
Suggest names While completing...... button.

Is there a way to delete a specific name?

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
