Internet explorer keep selecting, on it's own, to "Use
automatic configuration script" located in internet
options - connection - LAN Settings. It defaults back to
this after a restart. I've tried to uninstall/install IE 6
with no luck. How can I get the settings to stay with
only "Automatically detect settings?"

The scripting file is for dial-up connections to ISP's.
On the Connection Properties dialog (Start=>Settings=>Dial-up
Connections=>Your Connection Name, Properties button)
go to the Scripting tab and delete the scripting file name taking note of
its name and location just in case you need it at a later time.

In the Internet Options Control panel, on the Connections tab you will see
settings for which and how a connection is to be made when IE starts.
