Automatic column width

Is it possible? I have a spreadsheet with one column in it in which the
values may range between several thousand and several trillion. (These are
money values so scientific notation is not an option.) The values in that
column are all calculated on the basis of values in other columns' cells.
It's annoying to have to adjust the column width every time the number of
decimal places in the result change.

Bear in mind Excel will only 'resolute' to 15 numbers and then will add
zeros unless you make it text and then you will not be able to calculate on
it.

To simply adjust the columns to the widest width hold your cursor to the
right of the column HEADER you wish to widen to the widest point and double
click. Excel will automatically size to the widest entry.

Highlight multiple columns (Click on the HEADERS and drag) and do the same
and all will 'autofit'

Hi Bob,

Another option is to highlight all (click on the upper left corner), o
just select the column you want to have adjusted, then go t
Format>Columns> and click on "autofit selection." The columns wil
automatically adjust. (You can do the same with Rows.)

Hope this helps
