Since the Prez changed the start and end dates for daylight saving time this
year, has there been, or is there going to be an OS patch to compensate for
that????

The automatic update to address this issue was put out on Friday, February
16. If you do not have automatic updates turned on, you can go out and
retrieve this update and get it installed.

Thanks for the answers and actually my automatic updates ARE turned on, but
set to download at 3:00 am when I'm not using the computers. The net result
is that I really don't get to see exactly what the updates are, since all I
see is a baloon that my computer was updated, but now indication as to what
the update was. I've simply been trusting Microsoft.

Thanks Milt. I followed that link and found that the DST patch for windows
had already been applied, but not the one for Outlook 2003. It's done now,
and many thanks for the information.

You're welcome Rob. Glad we could help.

The patch is already out. The President only signed a bill into law. Thank
the U.S. Congress for that change.

My advice is not to simply trust Microsoft, or anyone else. I recommend that
you set it to tell you that updates are available, but let it give you the
choice of what to install.

Well quite frankly, I wish they'd just change it to be in effect all year,
the way they did during WWII. That way we wouldn't have to keep remembering
to "Spring Forward" and "Fall Back", and we'd have an extra hour of daylight
during the winter when we have the least of it.
