I'm a photographer for a resort and take lots of
pictures. I need an easy way to rotate pictures. Right
now I have to open each one in photoshop, rotate and then
save them. Can a macro be written to automatically do
this? I would love to be able to right click on a bunch
of pictures and then select 'rotate 90 degrees' or
something like that and have it run through that process
with out me.

Is this possible? Should I direct this at another forum?

Thanks!!

Brian, there are programs that can do this but I've never bothered with
them. Reason: Each rotation resamples the picture. Image data is lost
because of the calculations that are done to achieve the rotation.
Example: If you have a photo, rotate it 90 and rotate it back a degree or
two to line up perfectly, that's two rotations/two resamplings. Two losses
of image data.

If data loss is not critical for the targeted output, you should be able to
find something that will do this for you. You may want to ask in one of the
PhotoShop newsgroups to see what they suggest. I would think that you could
at least use the recorder (record actions) in PhotoShop to reduce the 90
degree rotation to one click.

Hi Brian,
This task can be easily accomplished through Windows XP without any
third-party programs. Simply select all the files that have to be rotated
and then right click the selection and click "Rotate clockwise" / "Rotate
counter clockwise", whichever suits you.
