Automate printer setup?

Is there a way to expedite the setup and configuration of a network-attached
printer via JavaScript, [Windows XP SP2/Office '03] Macro, C#, or any other
[fairly easy] method?

The Scenario:
Office workers moving from building A to B while others move from B to A.
Along with moving offices the corporate network is being divided and possibly
there will be a new Printer Server stood up. We will, or should, know all of
the printer names, IP Addresses (if needed) and the Printer Server name (or
IP address) shortly after the moves.

I understand there is a WSH (Windows Script Host) method for accomplishing
this but, I have been told previous attempts to utilize that method caused
(mostly) complaints.

Ideally, deploying a "smarter" Desktop icon or setting up a web-page but be
perfect for a relatively small group of workers but, I (we) are willing to go
out and buy packaged software to improve the basic Windows XP functionality
if one exists.

Ideas? Thanks very much in advance!
