I'm doing a routine similar to a job application form, where I fill
in a name and phone number in Access/XP, and want to take a picture
of the applicant, store the file name of the picture in the
applicant table, and print it out along name and phone on the
application form.
I have all this working, but the capture process sucks. I'm using a
Logitech WebCam (which, by the way, absolutely INSISTS on capturing
files to c:\Documents and Settings\MyName\My Documents\My
Pictures\ImageStudio\AlbumName!), and have to Alt-Tab out of Access
to the image software, click a button to take the picture, Click on
File Save As, supply the file name (which I've as least copied to
the clipboard before leaving Access, so I can just Paste it here),
and Alt-Tab back to Access where I run a filecopy to move the
picfile to the directory I want it in and stuff the filename into
the Access table .
There MUST be a better way to do this, or a better camera to do it
with which allows the whole process to be run from within Access.
????
Thanks, Kevin
