Is there a way to automatically turn off autoformatting in
excel? Excel automatically converts numbers to scientific
notation such as 322e275.

Please help.

Format the relevant cells as text BEFORE entering the data.
 
Is there any other alternative?
I'm opening a csv file and it contains this number
322e275. Excel automatically converts 322e275 to
scientific. Is there a way to automatically turn off
autoformatting without highlighting a range of cells to
format and using an ' before the number.

The solution provided of formatting "the relevant cells
as text BEFORE entering the data" wouldn't work since
data has already been entered previously in a csv file.

Please help.
