Hi all,
When I use the AutoFormat dialog box, select AutoFormat now, and click OK,
Word replaces all empty paragraphs. Word also replaces the paragraph if it
contains ONLY nonbreaking space (CTRL + SHIFT + SPACE). Is there a way to use
AutoFormat so that Word does not replace these paragraphs?

Thanks,
Dave

Probably not. Do you have a very good reason for using these (almost) empty
paragraphs? Some "good reasons" are (a) mandatory following at TOC, (b) to
separate two bordered paragraphs so they retain their separate borders, and
(c) to separate tables that have been split (in this case it's inserted by
Word). And of course a normal text paragraph (even if empty) is required
after a table at the end of the document.

Hi Susan,
No, no good reason. Actually, the question isn't for me, but for another
group. They're running across this problem.
