I know that Autocorrect can be a wonderful thing, but I want to turn off all
its options. I uncheck everything, but when I leave Word and return later,
all the features are back. How can I keep the options I turn off turned off?
Using Windows XP and MS Word 2002 SP 1. Thanks.

To KL,

Reasonable guess, but mistaken this time. These options are not stored in
normal.dot but in the registry. See <URL:
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customization/DataKeySettings.htm>.

To original poster,

Any chance you are on a network where these options are set centrally? If
not, you may have a corrupt data key. See the page linked above.
