Jim

When I am typing in Word 2002, the first letter of the first word of every
new line is automatically capitalized, unless it is a wordwrapped sentence.

I've tried to find a way to "uncheck" this unwanted option, but after
searching Word help, Tools, Word help sites, the web sites of Word MVP's,
Google and Google groups, I still can't find an answer.

I know that there is a simple solution, but, for some reason, I can't find
it.

All help and wisdom appreciated. TIA!

Jim

Hi Jim,

From the Tools menu, select AutoCorrect Options and go to the AutoCorrect
tab and uncheck the "Capitalize first letter of sentences" box.

Doug, can't thank you enough.

You must be the Robbins who is the genius.

I am the one who was born in a barn and actually did fall off of the back of
the turnip truck as a child.

Thanks again! Jim Robins

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the compliment. The second "b" in the name is for "brains" <g>
