I had a site come up that I entered ID & password and it then ask me if I
wanted to save that info. I accidentally clicked NO. How can I now get
the site to save ID & PW?

Bill,
To reset the "save password" option for one site, the only thing that has
ever worked for me is to delete All passwords from IE> Tools> Options>
Content> Autocomplete> Clear Passwords.

Protected Storage PassView from http://www.webattack.com/get/pspv.shtml will
help you recover other cached passwords *before* you clear all passwords.

The only case that I saw which needed Cookies to be deleted
was where the user had both disabled AutoComplete for web forms
and requested no password saving. Otherwise I think that the designed
method of restarting the prompt is to delete the userid from the web form
just like any other AutoComplete form data. When you enter it and its password
again you will again be given the opportunity to have its password saved.

There is one quirky thing that I saw about the restart procedure:
when I entered the password I didn't see any asterisks.
This is very confusing but if you have faith that you typed it correctly
and press Enter as if you did you will see the prompt.

Notice that you only ever see the prompt after you hit Enter;
so that last part is normal.

I agree with Don that there are abnormal cases which seem to be
cleared up only by deleting all stored passwords. IIRC the examples
of those that I have seen all involve userid fields which can not be deleted,
thus preventing the associated password from being deleted and thus
preventing the procedure I described above (by "designed method")
from occurring.

Thanks, deleting user ID and closing IE then opening URL and putting in ID,
it asked for password that time.
