Posting to both the outlook newsgroup, and OE newsgroup since I know
really know which area this question really belongs....

Q: How can I get OE to autocomplete an email address by utilizing 2
contact lists (from outlook).

Setup:
My wife & I both use different computers using Outlook Express, which
has the setting of "Share contact information with Outlook".

We both use Outlook 2000.
We also have net folders setup, sharing each others contacts lists.
This causes both of us to have 2 contacts lists folders (as it should).
Both have the check box for "show this folder as an Email Addressbook"
selected.

What happens:
When composing an email message, if the contact is in the "local"
contacts list, the name will autocomplete. However, if the contact is
in the "imported" contacts list, the name will not autocomplete.
When the Send button is clicked, the email address will resolve properly
from either addressbook (actually, if the address happens to be in both,
it will ask which one to use).

Did noone know the answer to this question, or did noone see it?

The message appeared and was read. No one answered because no one knew of a
way to do that.

Fair enough.

Do you know of a way to make a suggestion to the Outlook and/or OE teams
that they would actually read?

For that matter, I have my dept's local LDAP server added as a Directory
Service account. Autocomplete from matches from that would be quite
useful as well (truthfully, it would be even MORE useful).

In OE go to Help | Microsoft on the Web | Send Feedback. The messages DO
get read by the team, but don't expect a response.
